So after weeks of frustration, I finally got Ubuntu properly installed on my computer.  Then I managed to fuck it up by accidentally deleting a key file in the grub menu, by pushing the wrong button.  Thankfully, John's dad is a unix god (he's even got business cards) and he helped me re-install Ubuntu, and then edit the grub menu properly so I ( Read more... )
